We were honored to be invited by Virtual Switzerland to take part in a panel on the topic of CONTENT CREATION at Tech Day at the 25th Geneva International Film Festival. The panel was hosted by Kent Bye, the producer of Voice of VR podcasts and a true pioneer and deep thinker in every sense of the word.  He breaks things down to the core of the core.

Raffael, our Creative Director, was on the morning panel and gave a talk in the afternoon on digital innovation in the film industry and AR in retail and social media.

There was lively discussion during the morning panel on the topic of data privacy and surveillance capitalism. Check out Kent Bye’s work on the topic here:

XR Ethics Manifesto

This is impressive work.

I was on the afternoon panel. The topic was content creation. The panel was brilliantly designed, with representatives from nearly every step of the value-chain: Technology development, building blocks (SO REAL), content creation, VR & arts festivals, and distribution.

For those who do not follow VR\AR\MR closely, here are some important things to know.

A) According to the Gartner Hype Curve, VR & AR are not “emerging technologies”. AR moved out of the “trough of disillusionment” and VR is already a productive technology.

B) The giants, especially Microsoft, see AR as the next computing platform. Google, Apple, Facebook, and Microsoft are investing billions in developing the hardware as well as the whole ecosystem around it. Keyboards, mice, & touchscreens will be a thing of the past.
